Learning Observed
|
Today we learnt about writing a message. We learnt that we start by addressing who we are sending our message to, followed by the message and ending with whom it is from. After brainstorming what sort of things we could write in our messages to our mum’s for Mother’s Day, we modelled a message together. Zivashtine then went off and wrote her own Mother’s Day message. Zivashtine wrote:
“TOMum.
DeDr
IhopeYou
Youa
LOtsof
Ilove
You
IWi”
all by herself.
- “Dear Mum,
I hope you have a Mother’s day.
Lot’s of love from Zivashtine.”

Evidence of learning
|
Zivashtine was able to record many words and letters correctly in her Mother’s Day Message. It looks like Zivashtine has been practising her writing in the holidays.
|
Key Competencies/Vision Principles
|
Zivashtine was developing her Capabilities in writing. She was able to write her message by herself, without any learning coach assistance (Managing Self). Zivashtine was able to write her own message and included many correct words and letters (Using language, symbols and text). She was able to think about and share her ideas about what a message should have and look like (Participating and Contributing).
